about : Hi! My name is Kathleen. In 2005, I was hired by a local specialty toy store at Christmastime as extra help. The owners of the store were so impressed by my enthusiasm and love of toys and children, they brought me on board part-time to work in the office with them and on the sales floor. Sadly, in May 2007, the owner passed away suddenly, leaving her husband to grief-stricken to run the store. I stepped up and ran the store successfully myself, delegating responsibilities to my co-workers. In March, one of my co-workers bought the store. On April 1st, she let me go (what a mistake on her part!). So, I have decided to bring my love of toys and children here. Someday, I will own my own specialty toy store. For now, I will enjoy sewing, gardening, and playing with my children.
